Rockhampton Club Annual General Meeting – Installation of Board

The Annual General Meeting of the Rockhampton Club was held last Thursday evening and the elected board members were installed by past Area 4 Director Berenice Payne.

Those installed were:

President: Patricia Collins
Vice President: Melissa Mills
Treasurer: Valda Fitzgerald
Minutes Secretary: Janice Landsberg
Correspondence Secretary: Elizabeth Acton
Director: Jenny Baker

Their term of office will be from 01 June 2023 to 31 May 2024.

Valda Fitzgerald and other members attended the meeting by teleconference.

Berenice Payne was also appointed as Parliamentarian for the term.

Members enjoyed the social aspect of dinner following the meeting.

What's On

District 22 CONFERENCE 2023 -Update

The District 22 Conference 2023 is successfully concluded. From the warm welcome to Mackay by Mayor Williamson and Aunty Pat Corrie to the final business closure on Sunday 10 September, delegates and guests enjoyed the guest speakers, the several presentations by our education award winners, our Zonta International Representative Annika from Sweden and the Zonta spirit generated by many Zontians being and working together for the future of District 22. Congratulations to the newly elected Board Members and Nominating Committee, as well as to the many first-time Conference delegates who participated in the business sessions. Thanks also to the Zontians of Mackay who hosted the event and to the Organising Committee for their months of planning to deliver a happy and productive District Conference. The District Conference 2025 will be held in Mount Isa. In the meantime the 2024 Zonta International Convention in Brisbane will be the next major event to which we look forward.
