Zonta Club of Hervey Bay joins Fraser Coast Reclaim the Night March 2025

Hervey Bay Zontians came in full force in their Zonta Says No orange t-shirts to join the Fraser Coast Reclaim the Night March on Friday, 24 October 2025. The event brought together members of our community in support for Sexual Violence Awareness Month and to honour the victims and survivors of sexual assault.

The march commenced from the All-Abilities Park, Pialba and traversed along the Esplanade footpath. It concluded at Scarness Park where a discussion panel was held with guest speakers representing the Queensland Police Service, Community Legal Service, Queensland Health and Wide Bay Women’s Health.

Fraser Coast Domestic & Family Violence Alliance organised the march with aims to:
Raise community awareness about sexual violence.
Promote the support options available to people affected by sexual assault and sexual abuse.
Uphold a clear message that sexual violence will not be tolerated in our community.

Reclaim the Night is a powerful global movement dedicated to raising awareness, empowering individuals, inspiring action, and fostering positive change to end sexual violence in our communities.
