Join Zonta Club of Hervey Bay’s 16 Days of Activism campaign

The Zonta Club of Hervey Bay’s 16 Days of Activism in 2025 will align with the UN Women theme, “UNiTE to End Digital Violence against All Women and Girls.”

The campaign starts on the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women observed on November 25 and concludes on Human Rights Day on December 10.

Here are ways you can join the campaign this year!

The Zonta Club of Hervey Bay is working in collaboration with various local organisations to organise or support the following events during the 16 Days of Activism. We invite you to join us in raising awareness and advocating for the end of violence against women.

  • Ringing of the Bells – St John’s Anglican Church at 10.30 on Sunday, 23 November. Join us in remembering the women and girls who lost their lives to domestic and family violence this year. Co-organised with the local Anglican Mother’s Union.
  • Zonta Orange Ladies – look out for one of our Orange Ladies displayed at various locations around Hervey Bay with important information on available services to support women in DV situations.
  • Social Media Campaign on our Facebook and Instagram pages
  • Fraser Coast Clothesline Project – The display will feature t-shirts expressing messages of hope and emotions of survival. Open to the public at 30 Main Street, between 25 November to 10 December 2025. Supported by Fraser Coast Domestic & Family Violence AllianceIMPACT Community ServicesFraser Coast Regional Council, and funded through the Social Shift Institute.
