Hervey Bay volunteers pack 600 clean and safe birthing kits

The Zonta Club of Hervey Bay along with its amazing volunteers packed 600 birthing kits for women birthing at home in remote regions of the developing world.

Over 30 volunteers joined the assembly day held on Saturday, 25 October 2025 at the St John’s Anglican Church on Doolong Road, Hervey Bay.

It was a great day to meet new people and have fun, while making a difference. By sharing a bit of our time, we help build a world in which women and girls have access to clean and safe birth.

We thank all who gave up two hours of their weekend for this worthy cause. Special thanks also go to the Mothers Union for preparing and serving morning tea for everyone!

District 22 CONFERENCE 2025

Our 2025 District Conference is over and what a weekend it was. Our hosts, the Zonta Club of Mount Isa, really looked after us from the meet and greet at the airport on arrival to the final farewell. The organisation was exemplary. A very big thank you to the Conference Chairman, Sue Wicks, and everyone involved - you did an amazing job.

Whilst we all returned a few kilograms heavier the weekend was not all about food and having fun! The program was interesting with great speakers and interactive workshops. Where possible reports on these or speech notes are being progressively added to the District Conference webpage. We remembered Zontians we have lost this past biennium through a very moving Memorial Service.
