Zonta Fun Run – Maleny
May is Queensland’s Domestic and Family Violence Prevention month, a crisis that deserves more of our attention.
On Sunday May 16, you can join the Zonta Club of Blackall Range Fun Run to raise community awareness of the social and personal impacts of domestic and family violence, and the support available to those affected.
The key aims this month are to:
• raise community awareness of domestic violence and its
• promote a clear message of no tolerance of domestic violence;
• ensure those who are experiencing domestic violence know how
to access help and support;
• encourage abusers to take responsibility for their behaviour and
to seek support to change.
If you would like to get behind the movement to quash domestic violence, while also engaging in some healthy exercise and enjoying time with your community, bring the family and dog along to the Zonta Fun Run. The colour purple is emblematic of this movement, so dig out your purple t-shirt, scarf or tutu and dress to impress!
