Join us on Friday 3rd March 11am-2pm to celebrate our signature, annual International Women’s Day with our theme this year – ‘Leaving a Legacy – Addressing Domestic Violence’.

Keynote Speaker, Katarina Carroll, APM, Commissioner of Queensland Police Service is an inspiring and influential woman who will speak to the topic ‘Leaving a Legacy – Addressing Domestic Violence.’ She says she is shocked by the number of repeat offenders and increases of domestic violence occurrences and wants tackling domestic violence head-on to be her legacy. We look forward to hearing how she is addressing this and the challenges she faces to achieve her goal.

The event will raise essential funds for our local charities of choice, Hope Horizons and Blush which are not-for-profit agencies dedicated to supporting and educating people undergoing cancer treatment. Zonta educational scholarships, and their global charities working to make a better world for women and girls will also benefit from some of the funds raised.

We will also be presenting the eleventh Zonta Woman of the Year Award, which acknowledges and pays tribute to a woman in the Toowoomba region who is making a significant contribution to support and enhance our community. Last year’s Award recipient was Mary O’Brien, Founder, Director and CEO of a mental health initiative called ‘Are You Bogged Mate?’ recognised for her energetic and tireless work to help rural families across Australia.

Enjoy a delicious 2 course meal & glass of bubbles or similar on arrival. Be sure to purchase some tickets to increase your chance of winning one of the fabulous raffle prizes that have been donated by our valued supporters.

Gather your friends and colleagues or organise a table for this very popular event.

Thank you for your support and we look forward to celebrating IWD together!
