The Zonta Club of Toowoomba Inc. was chartered as a club of Zonta International on 30 January 1978.
Our Club meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month at the Burke and Wills Hotel, 554 Ruthven Street, Toowoomba, for a 6.00pm meeting followed by dinner.
The Club currently has nearly 50 members from a range of backgrounds who are present and former business and professional women. We host a range of fellowship activities throughout the year to support and deepen friendships amongst our membership.

Our Scholarships
To action Zonta’s mission of Building a Better World for Women and Girls, each year the Zonta Club of Toowoomba Area Inc. offers two scholarships that assist and recognise the achievements of women in our local community. Both scholarships offer the opportunity for recipients to be considered for further District scholarships, with recipients of District scholarships eligible for International scholarships.
Zonta Young Women in Leadership
This scholarship recognises young women for their commitment to volunteerism, leadership achievements and dedication to empowering women worldwide.
Application deadline: tbc each year (generally mid-March)

Zonta Women in Business Leadership Award
The Zonta Women in Business Leadership Award celebrates excellence and recognises outstanding achievements by women between 18 and 35 years of age who are driving innovation and creating an impact in the business world. This prestigious award honours exceptional leadership, entrepreneurial spirit, ethical conduct and significant contributions while addressing global or local issues affecting women and girls or climate justice.
Application deadline: tbc each year (generally mid-July)

Our Advocacy Activities

Zonta Club of Toowoomba Area Inc. supports the 16 Days of Activism from 16 November to 10 December to raise public awareness of gender based violence and mobilise people in our local community to bring about change.
Our Service Activities
Our members are active throughout the Toowoomba area and regularly get involved with education, health and skills development projects supporting local women and girls.
