10th Paint the Bayside Orange Breakfast
The Club welcomed 82 guests to its 10th Paint the Bayside Orange Breakfast at the Wynnum Leagues Club. The Breakfast is a key event in the Clubs 16 Days of Activism supporting the Zonta Says No to Violence Against Women. Special guest speakers this year were Kirsty Tshirpig and Shaan Ross-Smith, founders of the Be There Group. Both are leading facilitators known for adopting a practical, trauma-informed approach to creating safer communities. The Be There Group leads national primary prevention initiatives across workplaces, communities and government empowering people to challenge inequality and prevent harm. They gave a very inspiring talk on interactive programs they run and provided practical examples of how, as an individual, we each can address inappropriate behaviour, language and actions.
